Re: Window pricing for MN

Though I'm not an expert like yall, I'm obsessed with the right components as I purchase my softlite and I asked this question to the soft-lite corporate regarding super spacer vs. intercept SS. They said this is dependent by dealer and the glass packages they buy. Some dealers you can and some you ...

Re: Recommendations on eyebrow layout

The foyer picture window max is 96 inches, but can only be a combined 144 in (W+H). This is for softlite. The foyer window is too big for that and that's the reason is what I was told. As for my office window, single hung options are not available for imperial elite softlite. Only double hung availa...

Re: Recommendations on eyebrow layout

Randy/Homesealed-thank you for your input.

JUST so that I am getting this correctly. Is this the view that you recommend? creating twin DH while minimizing the top "eyebrow" sized window?

Anyone else have an opinion on what they like/don't

Re: Recommendations on eyebrow layout

Ty so much Randy! After seeing your pic I'm more inclined to drop the divider on the top window a little (like yours and see below). Does this look better to you? Also, when you were referencing the mull between the upper and lower windows as high as possible do you mean something like the below new...

Re: Recommendations on eyebrow layout

OH forgot one thing. The last picture that shows "slider" are the office windows. Since imperial elites are double hung, I cannot replicate the existing window layout b/c my current windows are single hung.

Recommendations on eyebrow layout

Hi everyone! I appreciate all advice from the experts here - I selected soft-lite imperial elite in Austin and to the best of my knowledge that's the only top window brand available here from the trio that everyone recommends (okna, sunrise, soft-lite). I understand I sacrifice a little on the vinyl...

Question about potentially good vs. very good - abv avg windows (e.g., Soft-lite)

Hi everyone! I don't want to spam too many questions but I'm down to my final buying decision and it comes down to whether it makes sense to invest more in the "top-tier" window(s) available in Austin, TX. Soft-lite Elite line is probably the best available vinyl line available to me in Au...

Re: Soft-lite elements

Ok. So I'll give you a reference point. I got a crude quote (double hung, double pane) for 29X70 each X 2 = a twin and each of them will be 900$ish f(1) or barrington and 1000$ (1) for elite installed (complete replacement and not pop out) for each window on a stucco home. And I live in one of the m...

Re: New vendor - about to take a chance in austin

Hi everyone (calling Randy like everyone does? :) I'm following the expert advice on the forum and leaning towards sunrise or soft-lite. Issue is that sunrise apparently cut out products in this area due to the pandemic. That leaves soft-lite with 2 dealers - both I think which were not fully suppor...

Re: New vendor - about to take a chance in austin

"I don't know anything about this company other than what the website says, but it looks to be a product designed to hit a low price point (only SH, no DH, the built in brickmold, and a host of other "features")." This is incredibly helpful. Not being an expert...I can't see thes...

New vendor - about to take a chance in austin

Hi everyone. I've been getting a crash course and spent about 20+ hours to get to where I am today to ask this question. Long story short, I'm considering taking a risk on a small business in the Austin area. I considered Ringer windows (many of you advised against it in the forum b/c it's small, bu...
