Re: Gorell 5305 vs Silverline 8500
gorell is a very good window..simonton,you mean the 6500 not the 8500. anythig by andersen or pella in vinyl is complete garbage. thats my opinion and i don't need to go into the multitude of reasons. i am shocked that you were quoted such a cheap price for the gorell 5100. is your contractor a prie...

Re: Okna 800 Deluxe Help
you will be getting double strength glass. as for double locks; why would you need them for a 31" window? you don't. 36" and up will get you double double locks by default i believe. you also have reinforcement in the meeting rail. as far security,Okna's 800 is designed in such a way that ...

The elements and imperial LS are soft lite's top windows. They are right up there in quality with
Okna Windows and Vytex Windows.

Re: replacement window newbie with a leak that wont stop
WOW brings up a point i did'nt address(i should have). hiring a cheap cotractor will ALWAYS result in cheaply done work. hire somone who is adept at window installs, not a great contractor who does kitchens and can also do windows on weekends and please not a fireman who does windows on his day off. ...

Re: Gorell 5305 vs Silverline 8500
if you like the company and like the window, you've got a good deal. no reason to turn this is into a used car lot. no pro is going to answer a question like that because we cannot see what kind of work is involved and its also impossible for us to see the company's overhead. i doubt they will disclo...

Re: Gorell 5305 vs Silverline 8500
armor glass is great for noise reduction plus an added benefit is blocking 99% of ultra violet rays.
Gorell does an outstanding job at marketing their products. no window company markets their product better than they do.

Re: Okna's Starmark Window
when referring to "loss of glass",its a replacement not a full tear out. as far as replacement windows, even the starmark is'nt considered too bulky. 800 is less bulky though if bulky is the correct word.

Re: Okna's Starmark Window
you would need to go to starmark windows.com. starmark is made by Okna and it is one of the best performing window available. will it last longer than a regular vinyl window? certainly much longer than a lower grade vinyl but it will not last longer than the 800 series. the material is more expensiv...
