I normally would leave the siding on, but i normally work on old house's.I measure from the inside and outside and take the trim off on 1 window if the others are the same.I usually like to match the outside of frame measurements from the old to the new.

How thick are the extrusions on the Don Young window? Silverline 9500 series comes standard with D.S glass.
