Brennan Windows
Hello,
I'm looking at replacing all my windows. I got a quote from Brennan, and I'm trying to see if this is a reasonable price for their Tradition window 36x72 for $728/window. Thank you for your help.

Re: Brennan Windows
That is a great price.
Difficult to be accurate in that you have not shared the product specs nor the scope of work.

Re: Brennan Windows
Thanks WindowNerd for the quick reply.
My project:
28 windows Traditions series
Windows to sliding glass door
2 windows convert to single picture frame
Enlarge one window
Cover up a window
$31.6k
Signature series
$27.1
Brick work to close a window is an additional $4.2k
Thanks,
Ht

Re: Brennan Windows
Are the rest of them, save the couple opening modifications, being done as inserts?

Re: Brennan Windows
No, they're all whole window replacement.
Re: Brennan Windows
I assume you’re in the DFW area. Sounds like they are offering the NT Traditions window, and if so, that’s a really good price on a good solid window. The only premium window brand that is widely offered in your area is Sunrise, so there aren’t a lot of good alternatives. NT is one of the better options in the mid-grade category IMO.

Randy,
I screwed up, they had the windows on a separate quote. So the actual total for the Brennan project is 48k.
I also got a quote from North Texas Home Exteriors for the same project. They offered the KHPP The Genesis series for $36k. I'm not too familiar with KHPP windows either. Let me know what's your thoughts on KHPP windows.
Thanks,
Ht

I’ve never heard of the company you named, I’ll have to try and find out more info.

Thanks Randy. I had a quote for the same project for Textview AC is 23k minus closing one of the window, I heard on this forum about Textview, so I passed.
Re: Brennan Windows
Have you considered getting another quote on NT? Contacting NT and asking for another quality dealer in your area might be helpful.

That brand scares me on several levels.

Re: Brennan Windows
I have to agree. It has nice performance numbers and an overall solid build, but I'd stay away from the Heat Mirror options. Great concept, has durability issues. Each new product/manufacturer that brings it on says that they have figured out the issues and NOW they have a good solution to make it last, but the next manufacturer that actually does so will be the first.
Then there is the very colorful history of that company to consider. I wouldn't necessarily rule it out completely, but it has more red flags than most of the top performing products. If all else was equal, there is not much reason to take the risk IMO.
