We're looking into replacing 15 original 40 year-old single pane double-hung wood and aluminum windows in our house with vinyl, and adding 6 sliders (four 2-light and two 3-light) to an enclosed deck that we are converting to a four season room.
Since we're also planning on replacing the vinyl siding on the house at the same time, would it or be better to use new construction or just stick with replacement windows? The house was built in 1980 - cookie-cutter middle class neighborhood, not very well built or insulated.
After reading several threads in this forum, it seems Okna (500 series?) and Vytex are among the better options out there, but struggling to find a reputable installer. I see several recommendations for "Delaware Mike" but haven't been able to figure out how to contact him.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would do a nail fin installation. Mike will show up sooner or later.

You can hit me up on Facebook if anyone in the family has an account as messenger is pretty fast. Long days installing and then running estimates at night. Plus a full moon, some howling in order.

Delaware Mike:
The email address provided by Window Nerd isn't valid (mail bounced back) and haven't had any luck finding you on Facebook (searched Delaware Mike, James Johnston, James M. Johnston). Is there any other way to reach you?
