Window comparisons
Does anyone know of a website(unbiased) where I can compare different manufactures? Or can anyone tell me which is better, Amerimax or LbL. They both seem the same, except Amerimax claims Energy Star with a U value of .29 to .30. I cant find values for LbL. It also seems that Amerimax is way more $$$. Any other manufacture suggestions??
www.nfrc.org has a lot of info on their u values and stuff. Bad thing? nfrc is a maze but with patience you should be able to do a side by side comparison.
Good luck

Amerimax did not have a listing on the NFRC site that I could easily find.
The Energy star partner of teh year of 2004 is Gorrel windows and 2003 was Jeld-Wen.
These number were for horizontal sliers and were for the lowest U-Values I could find listed. Some have argon, some don't etc etc etc.
Hope it clears some things up and does not confuse the situation more.
