We've decided to go with PlyGem replacement vinyl windows, and we think they're going to be great. However, we'd also like to replace our 25-year old garden window with a new one, but the PlyGem garden window will run us about $1,800 installed. Too much money!
There must be a decent garden window that isn't quite as expensive ($1,400 installed would be nice).
Does anyone have a recommendation?

$1,800 is so cheap already. Trust me.
That contractor isn't making any money on it at that price nor is he/she counting or budgeting on having to service that unit down the road.

Since the entire window is hanging off the outside of the wall the window will get very cold inside. My recommendation would be to do the garden window with triple pane. You will have a better chance of fighting condensation on the glass that way.

Make sure the window has fully supported knee braces as part of the installation.

What would lead you to believe that? Just wondering. Not a terrible product, but doesn't really fit that description (great) either.JoeTheAuthor wrote:We've decided to go with PlyGem replacement vinyl windows, and we think they're going to be great.
Garden windows are very pricey. $1800 is operating at a loss.
