Have Swiggle spacers improved lately? I have a house that has certainteed windows in it from 1988. Some sashes have a metal box spacer and some sashes have been replaced with swiggle spacer. The swiggle spacers and the sashes they are in seem to be more "droopy" and deteriorated than other windows of the same size. And I am in the NE where it does not get that hot.
My question is, is this indicative of new windows with swiggle seals, or just a problem with older ones?

your swiggle units
the drooping is typical of sealed units made using this product the change in atmospheric pressure acting on the sealed unit means the glass deflects. The weak structure moves into equalise in extreme cases the glass breaks or the edge seal does so equalising the pressure.
You do not find this product being used inhigh volume in Uk due to this fact.
