Black Window Frames

I like the black window frames but some one suggested that they fade after a short time. Does anyone have them or know anything about them. Thanks.

Black is not a good color for any vinyl window. It absorbs too much solar radiation and you are potentially asking for problems.

If you really like black, I would look into either fiberglass or an extruded aluminum framed window.

Over the years I've done about 10 homes with black windows. They have always been wood interior with a black aluminum clad exterior. Even with aluminum, it will fade somewhat over time, but not as bad as it would with vinyl. Although I haven't done any fiberglass windows in black, that would be a perfectly acceptable choice as well.
