Since it looks as though we live in the same state, am wondering if we could "talk"....purchasing replacement windows has been a difficult decision. I would like to get your opinion on the best windows for my area.....North Central Texas.
I've looked at everything.....vinyl, aluminum wood clad, thermal barrier aluminum, and fiberglass. I'm trying to find something that is maintenance free, with good energy numbers.
Although vinyl windows are very heavily marketed here, they have drawbacks....for instance, they can't make a window for the 96" wide x 72" tall opening in the front of the house. Also, the colors are very limited.
Also, the style of the house requires dividers/grids on the windows in the front of the house, and the grids between the glass are not very attractive.
What can you recommend??
