Simonton windows 5050 0r 5500 any good?
I am looking to replace 20 double hung windows. I have gotten various quotes. I can't afford top of the line. Are Simonton 5050 or 5500 any good? Window world was the lowest quote for their midrange window. They sell Comfort World windows but I can't find any info on them. Can any one give me some advice on a good window?? Thanks! Michele
if memory serves me right, I believe the 5500 is a better window than the 5050..as far as windowworld is concerned..the midline window they sell..comfortworld 4000 is made by alside and looks like the same window as the excalibur. I also remember
that windowworld did offer a good price ($189 installed) but I learned that was only for a window with standard installation, no grids, no gas, no capping.
