Andersen 100 series vs. vinyl

I live in Des Moines, IA. and am going to replace the windows in our brick ranch. I have decided on casement windows throughout, and have been looking at a couple of different windows recommended by my cousin, a resedential contractor. Due to price, I had decided to go with a vinyl window. He recommended a vinyl window made by Windsor, a window made locally with an excellent rep. The salesman at Gilcrest Jewett also gave them a recommendation. Also, he showed us an Andersen 100 series, that has a composite frame and sash. They are a newer line from Andersen, and offer greater strength than vinyl. They are also aprx. 20% higher in price. Does anyone have any experience with these windows? Are they woth the extra money compared to vinyl?
