I visited with the Soft-Lite salesman yesterday. My house now has a combo of Awning and Casement windows. The salesman told me awning & casement windows cost more to build and install do to more hardware in them. Is this true?? The Soft-Lite window is the "Elements" that would be installed.
He advized me to put slider or dbl hungs in place of the awning and casements through out the house to save on cost of the windows. He gave me a example of the cost of replacement of a big window opening I have 132 x 66, it has 9 awning windows in it. If we went with 3 large picture windows and 3 awning the cost was $3200, if we went with 3 Dbl Hung cost was $1700. Thanks
