Mag X (10) made by AMI - need some advice

Hi Guys,

I'm new here and would like to get your opinions. My wife and I recently obtained a quote from a local company for 6 replacement windows. These are the Mag X (Mag 10) made by AMI - they are interior cherry (laminate) and exterior white. The quote was 4,000 dollars - with the equivalent of low-e2 glass. Is this a good price?

Also, I have more windows to replace - would it be cost beneficial to step down to a Thermal Industries window - with the stainable oak interior? I'm not sure if the Mag 10 AMI windows is better or worst than Thermal, but based on the cost differential, Thermal are cheaper and therefore (?) of less quality?
