Window sales samples
Do they use blemished or reject windows for sales samples or are they the same quality as what would be put in a house?
From the manufacturers standpoint sample windows are a major pain in the rear. The samples are not rejects. If anything we spend more time making a sample window than we do making regular windows. The samples are difficult to make because they fall on the very small size which makes it harder to weld the windows, clean the windows, or even sending the glass through the glass washer.
In addition the windows are put into sample case frames that cost $20 and more.
Nothing can make a manufacturer grumble more than having someone ask for a few sample windows so they can put them in a backyard playhouse or when you visit a flea market and see the sample windows being sold by the same person who came in a week earlier asking for samples.
