Deluxe vs. Non-Deluxe
Deluxe = foam filled frame and sash + locking screen (on the DH)

Thats it ^^^
Drops the u factor by 2 points. At a relatively minor upcharge, it is a worthwhile upgrade

I dont think i ever ordered an okna 800 series window without it being deluxe. I am a firm believer in foam filled extrusions.

Does the triple pane have two foam fills, one between each pair of panes?

Foam doesn't go between the glass. It goes in the frame.

That's what I originally though, but I see some foam-looking thing between the panes, so that's why I was confused. Thank you for the clarification.

So DX adds low e argon, foamed frames and sash, and locking screens.
That is why that is the package that we sell most of the time.

I thought you meant "Doesn't the DX include Low E (coating) *and* argon?" I didn't realize you meant there is a different type of argon gas that is categorized as "low e argon". I am unsure whether or not the DX includes this special argon.

Re: OKNA 800 vs 800DX
DX (Deluxe) = Low-e/argon + foam filled + Locking screen (I think just on the DH but don't quote me on that)
ESP (Energy Savings Package) = Low-e/argon
ESP (Energy Savings Package) = Low-e/argon

I think that you may be referring to the glass spacer. It is non-metallic so it resembles foam... As the others have stated however, the foam filling refers to the sash and frame chambers. The glass spacer system is the same both ways.AliInBaltimore wrote:That's what I originally though, but I see some foam-looking thing between the panes, so that's why I was confused. Thanks, HomeSealed. I was actually talking about the spacer. Can't keep all the concepts and terms straight in my head sometimes.

Re: OKNA 800 vs 800DX
you can do DX on sliders, DH, and casements, you can not do DX on radius units.
