Vinyl replacement windows in Cleveland area

Hello Pros – Seeking your input on vinyl replacement windows in the Cleveland Ohio area.
15 double hung approx. 3 feet by 5 feet.
3 double hung approx. 2 feet by 3 feet.
Each representative priced the windows with what I understand to be their standard double-plane glass package. For example, all have U-value of 0.27.
I have prices to upgrade to triple-pane for a couple of them.

Company A: local franchise of window company
• Okna Eco-Pro 600 = $15,600
• Add $1,900 to go to triple-pane (looks like this gets the U-value down to 0.20 for the $600 tax credit)

Company B: local window/door/siding/roofing contractor
• Vytex Potomac = $14,300; Vytex Fortis = $13,100
• Add $1,400 to go to triple-pane on either one (not clear that triple-pane gets the U-value down to 0.20)
• All of these prices reflect a 15% discount for paying in cash

Company C: local window/door/siding contractor
• Sunrise V5000 Restorations = $15,900; Sunrise V4000 Classic = $14,100

Company D: local franchise of window company
• Provia Endure = $17,900

A, B, and C are worthy of consideration. D doesn't make the cut.

I think A will have the most efficient and highest DP rated product.

How did you like the vendors? Reviews, vetting?

Company A with Okna is Window Universe of Cleveland. Their reviews are excellent on Angi and Yelp.
Company B with Vytex has mixed reviews. They might be out on that basis.
Company C with Sunrise has very good reviews.
I do need some wood repair due to a couple leaky windows. I feel pretty good that A and C will do a good job with that as well as with the overall installation.

I think you found your company. A's window is a bit better than the C's best offering so...can't see why not to use that one?

- Do you view triple-pane on the Okna 600 as a no-brainer at $1,300 net cost for 18 windows, after the $600 tax credit?
- If I wanted to save a few dollars, would there be a reason to get triple pane on windows that face a certain direction, but stick with double-pane on the other side of the house? The front of my house faces east and the back faces west.
- Is it worth getting triple pane on the smaller 2 ft x 3 ft bathroom windows? They face west, if that matters.
- For a downstairs bedroom near a somewhat noisy neighbor, should any special glass be considered, or will triple-pane give sufficient noise reduction?

4) Depends how noisy. An airtight window with double or triple pane will serve most situations well. If it's just one or two openings and the neighbor is bothersome enough, opting for laminated glass there would be decent idea.

Back to the topic of triple pane, we are at a time of transition where it is becoming the new norm. This is a 30+ year investment, I wouldn't put in windows that will be considered old technology very soon... Even if you say that you may be selling in 5-10 years, you don't want prospective buyers looking at your 5 year old windows as though replacement is needed because they are double pane.
