best replacement windows east coast

I am interested in getting 20 replacement windows for my home. I have had several companies come out and I am more confused than ever. Could someone recommend a good window? I live in Hampton, Va on the east coast. I can't afford a pricey window but don't want to settle for a window that won't last. Is this possible??? I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
