cottage style windows

#1 Post by billyd1 »

I am trying to find a manufacturer that will make a cottage style window that has a 1/3 x 2/3 split. The closest I have been able to find is a 60 / 40 split , apparently due to the weight of the lower sash and the capability of the balance systems to support it when open. Specs on the windows are 35 1/2" x 71 1/2" with the lower sash tempered. If anyone knows of a high quality replacement window manufacturer that can make a window like this I would really appreciate any info you supply. Thanks

I've already been in contact with both of them, 60/40 is the best they can do. Thanks for the response, I'll keep trying.

Check with Milgard in your area. They will put the bar set pretty much where you want unless their engineering dept has a reason not to, as to size constraints. Hope this helps.
