I live in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. I need to replace 8 sets of sliding patio doors which make up a large solarium. (4 of the 8 sets include a blank window also). I do not need for all these doors to open, so could conceivably replace with a fixed alternative to sliding doors. I live in an upscale neighborhood, but only plan on keeping the house for about 5 years, so there is a cost/performance/appearance trade-off. You guys have convinced me that I need to find a reputable independent window installer/dealer. Do you know one here, or do you have recommendations to find one?

If you are looking for some sort of payback calculation based on the increased energy efficiency, you will not find a legitimate reason for it.
If it is as a result of replacing a failed building material, that depends on the real estate market and other factors beyond my fingers and ability to calculate.
